Yeah, like train journeys. Blue Train in South Africa, Zephyr in Canada, also the one across Oz. All would be great

I woould love to walk around the coastline of Britain - take a year or more to do it and write a book about it (though that’s probably been done - by Tony Hanks carrying something or playing the locals at something!). If not that then the coast to coast walk

Agree with Fighting Fit, the Zephyr in Canada is extraordinary. You go coast to coast and this country is magnificent.

On the lamer side, but still a lot of fun - lots of trips and workshops for aspiring and artists to go to exotic places to paint plein air. I’d love to go to Peru and paint for weeks.

You could combine it with the Inca Trail

Ok - will have to start 2012 and beyond Adventure Planning. Start with the Coastline of Britain and we can do that in small chunks. The South West Coastal pathway is magnificent and very well constructed and lots of nice place to stop off for a pasty and cuppa tea! Also the Welsh coastline from Cardigan Bay to Aberiswith (sorry if spelt wrongly) - and the Jurassic coast. IF ONLY the British weather was a bit more favourable.

The other one I would like to do this year is the Rocky Mountaineer (is that different from the Zephyr?) from Vancouver to Calgary.

Hello. I’m off to India in January for two months, fulfilling a wish to explore the country I’ve cherished for a very long time. Will be starting in Goa (India-lite by all accounts) and then travelling further afield as I gain confidence. Want to do some volunteer work while I’m there, but don’t have lots of money. Any other 60 somethings been there and done that? Feedback much appreciated!
